BLUEHIGHWAYS TV TO LAUNCH VOD IN AUGUST
Preferred Partnership Agreement with TVN Enables Network to Begin 20 Hours Per Month of On Demand Program Offerings on Bresnan Cable Systems
Hendersonville, TN - BlueHighways TV, a network created to explore the people, stories, traditions and cultures of America, announced today it will launch its Video On Demand (VOD) service on select Bresnan Communications cable systems as early as August 7, 2005.
The network also announced it has signed a multi-year agreement with TVN Entertainment, who will be BlueHighway TV's Preferred Partner for VOD Services. Under the deal, TVN Entertainment, the leading provider of on demand television programming, management and delivery solutions, has contracted to provide a suite of services including encoding, distribution, and asset management services. BlueHighways TV is launching its VOD platform with a full 20-hours of programming and will be refreshing the programming line-up each month.
Bresnan Communications, the nation's thirteenth largest cable operator serving customers in Colorado, Montana, Wyoming, and Utah, will launch BlueHighways TV's VOD service as early as August 7th in Cheyenne and Laramie, WY; Grand Junction, CO; and Helena, Billings, Kalispell, MT. Bresnan will also make BlueHighways TV's VOD service available at a later date in Casper and Gillette, WY, Bozeman, Missoula and Great Falls, MT, and Montrose, Durango and Canon City, CO.
