BlueHighways TV Offers Texas Music Program
Hendersonville, TN - BlueHighways TV (BHTV), the multi-platform network that explores the people, stories, traditions and music of America, announced today that it will premiere the weekly series Texas County Line on Tuesday, December 16th at 8:30p.m. ET. A half hour musical journey of the Lone Star state, the show is hosted by native Texas actor Brad Maule, familiar to television viewers as Dr. Tony Jones on General Hospital and Ashlee Simpson's father on 7th Heaven.
"Texans enjoy their traditional country and western swing music, and our state is rich with musicians and songwriters," said Maule. "With Texas County Line, I take BHTV viewers on the ultimate insider's tour of Texas honky-tonks and festivals, spiced with the famous characters, stories and vintage performance footage of our musical history." The series is produced by David Stallings of Texas County Line Productions, based in Nacogdoches, Texas.
Texas County Line features Country Music Hall of Fame member and Grammy Winner Ray Price's 82nd Birthday Concert in Tyler; a visit to the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame in Carthage; and a vintage video clip of a dapper Willie Nelson singing "Crazy," the song he wrote for Patsy Cline. The show also includes a video from Crystal Sands, a newcomer who keeps her sound traditional to country roots, and a visit to Harlon's Barbeque in Nacogdoches, where singer Glenn Lenderman offers up roadhouse country music for patrons and dancers.
Future performers on the BHTV Texas County Line series will include: Bob Wills' Texas Playboys, Gene Watson, Eddy Raven, Johnny Rodriquez, Billy Joe Shaver, Darrell McCall, Tony Booth, Joe Stampley, Moe Bandy, Heather Myles, Amber Digby, Justin Trevino, Frankie Miller, Leona Williams and Ron Williams. A fresh episode of the series will be offered each Tuesday, with repeats of the program airing throughout the week. BHTV's original programming features roots music, including bluegrass, blues, folk, western, gospel and traditional country, outdoor adventure and agriculture, lifestyle, cooking, equestrian and a variety of other subjects valued by a wide and growing audience.
